Hello Everyone!
One of the things that I have been wondering about, is whether or not anyone else have found themselves with more deities in the "Celtic" pantheon that they leave offerings to, honor, or in someway acknowledge in their households?
From a Gaelic polytheist point of view, I have not found any significant evidence historically that this idea of household gods or personal pantheons is part of the Gaelic world view. It seems more likely that you had Gods of your family/clan/tuatha with more Ancestral worship being on the house to house level. (Naturally if anyone has more information on this please share! I'd love to read more). But in the modern context that my practice has taken form, I have my public dedications as a public priestess and then other Gods that I have come to honor within my household that I am not directly a "priestess of".
Now I know that many here do not identify as a Gaelic Polytheist, or don't just worship "Celtic" Gods, but I am curious if you have found your involvement with one or two has lead to some level of involvement with others?
Presently, and for some years now, I find my household honoring An Morríghan, An Dagda, Manannán mac Lir, Aengus Og, Brigid, Áine, and Epona.
It has been interesting to me to see the familial ties and interactions that the various deities have together and in myth and story. More so I have personally found that the expansion and acknowledgment and reverence for all of them has enriched my life. I would love to hear how others personal practices interact with the public priestessing or how the interact with the public interactions with the Pagan Community at large!
